Welcome to paradise and enjoy The Revolution!
Why did we start Basket Case?
Basket Case Brewing Company’s brewers, Ben and Zach, got started brewing in 2007 when Zach’s wife bought him a homebrew kit for Christmas. Zach and Ben decided to give it a try and haven’t stopped since. Following the natural progression many home brewers go through, we made countless extract kits before upgrading to all grain brewing. Brewing all grain kits gave us a whole new understanding of the brewing process. It wasn’t long before we wanted to create our own beers by formulating our own recipes.
While sharing some of their early recipes with friends, Bjoe (owner of The Mill House Restaurant and Catering), Zach, and Ben began discussions about starting a brewery and supplying The Mill House with local craft beer. Over the past 2 years, we have been working hard to get everything in order to make this happen. Finally, as the winter of 2012 approaches, Basket Case Brewing Company is ready to open tap lines within The Mill House Restaurant in Jasper, IN. We look forward to pouring our passion into your pint glasses! Enjoy The Revolution!
What do we drink if our beer is out?
Zach – Oaken Barrel Indiana Amber, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and New Belgium Ranger
Bjoe – Hoegaarden
Ben – Bell’s Hopslam, Dogfish Head Midas Touch, and Three Floyd’s Zombie Dust
Great Beer and Great Tunes
Here at Basket Case Brewing Company, we have set out to blend our love of both beer and music. Take a close look and you will find musical references within everything we do. We have integrated music into our beer names, their descriptions, and our equipment just to name a few examples. Music is a big part of our brew day as we can be found rocking out while making beer for your enjoyment.
The Mill House has even taken a part in our insanity by adopting a musical theme in its bar. Rock on!
